Poncho

School pony extraordinaire

Maya's first ride
Loving the pony at summer camp!
"Firsts" - submitted by Devon MacPherson
I am sure that anyone who has ridden Poncho can
undoubtedly say that above her kind and caring nature, Poncho was a pony that
represented "firsts" for many people including
myself.
Poncho was the first pony that I rode at
Dreamscape Farm. Her
patience and good nature allowed me and many others to learn the basics of
riding.
Poncho was also the pony I was riding when I took my
first fall. A first fall is something that has
to happen sooner or later and I am glad that Poncho was the one standing beside
me while I got up and brushed myself off.
Poncho was also there during my first riding
summer camp. I am sure anyone who was there will say that she got quite
competitive when it came to pony games. If she was on your team you were
guaranteed to come in first.
While riding Poncho my first ribbon was won.
This was a very exciting moment for me and I am thankful that Poncho had the
ability to help me and others realize our love of showing.
Poncho was there when I taught my first riding
lesson. Poncho was my first choice with new
riders as I knew that she would be just as forgiving with them as she had been
with me in the past.
I know that Poncho will be remembered by myself and others as the pony that
allowed people to get their first taste of the
equestrian sport. She was an excellent teacher and will always be remembered
when I look back on my first memories of
Dreamscape Farm
Jack Be Nimble
1992 - 2011
Words can not really describe all that this spectacular
horse was. Jack had the heart of a champion and the patience of a
kindergarten teacher. Yet despite his fierceness as a competitor, he was
kind and gentle to the core. We will miss talent, his intelligence and his
bravery, but most of all we will miss his wonderful spirit. Truly a
special horse.

Baxter

November 17, 2011

Our endearing farm dog was indeed a character. A notorious
thief of treats and food of any kind, he was a daily part of farm life.
Despite his penchant for Timbits, horse treats and bits of wild animal found in
the forest, Baxter was a loyal farm dog. He was kind, loving and noble.
Dreamscape won't be the same without him.
